Hello,
My name is Al Cash and I want to take a moment to introduce myself. If you have visited A.C.I.S. in hopes of finding someone to help you inspect a home, then I want you to know who you've found in me.
I started learning about home construction and repair at an early age, having performed my first plumbing repair at only 9 years old. I quickly fell in love with learning how each part of a home fit together to form a fully functioning house that was designed to last more than a lifetime.
I learned all I could about plumbing, and then began to broaden my horizons into other parts of home construction and repair. I learned how to properly build the framework of a house so it is perfectly joined together and designed to stand against all that Mother Nature can throw at it. I also learned roofing, drywall installation, electrical wiring and flooring.
My hunger for knowledge never slowed down, even as I entered my adult years. What I was not able to learn on my own I quickly sought out skilled craftsmen to train alongside and learn from. They taught me more than just how to throw a house together to make a quick dollar. They taught me the difference between craftsmanship and the average workmanship one typically finds in the construction industry.
In December of 2022 I was injured due to a bad fall in an icy parking lot. The fall broke my tailbone and effectively ended my career in construction after more than 25 years of experience. I was heartbroken at first, thinking that the field I loved so much would now be out of reach.
However, I decided that in order to stay in construction I would have to learn to use my head instead of my back to make a paycheck.I looked at all the options in front of me, and after a close friend was very nearly taken advantage of when he was attempting to purchase a home, I decided to put my skills to use.
I know as a home inspector I can help protect people like my friend from purchasing homes with major problems. I know I can help people like you get a detailed report of exactly what condition the home in question is in.
